I’ve got a thing for street art and love photographing it. I wasn’t too sure if our ‘clean’ streets of Toronto would have much of it. Luckily one day I happened to walk by ‘Graffiti Alley’ and did a back track to check it out. Running south of Queen St. from Spadina to Portland is about a kilometres worth of graffiti. Apparently in the summer a group called ‘Style in Progress’ takes it over for 24 hours of legal painting. Funny enough in the news this week, a City Councillor was slamming comedian Ricker Mercer for filming his tv show rants down the alley saying he was supporting vandalism. You would think the politicians would have better things to do….
