Taste of the Danforth showcases the best of Greek food, culture, and music that Toronto has to offer. Ok, let’s say the music was good (as evidenced by the Policeman getting his groove on below), the entertainment was pretty bad (ya that’s you stunt men with AK47′s at a family event). But it was all really about the food after all. Bring on the souvlaki, the tzatziki and the meze.

I cruised down the Danforth many, many times planning my attack. And lets just say that within 48 hours, I managed to eat a chicken souvlaki on a pita, calamari, grilled shrimp, crab au gratin, ribs, lamb and rosemary pie, chicken and rosemary pie, loukoumades, cupcakes and pizza. Not bad for only $30. Yamas! (that’s Cheers in Greek)
