It looks like a scene from the Goonies (and has actually appeared in The Amazing Race), but this tall ship ‘The Kajama’takes you on a 2 hour Toronto Harbour Cruise.

Originally built in Germany in 1930, The Kajama sailed for nearly 70 years as a cargo ship around Europe, and now has found a home in Toronto Harbour. For around $12 (wait for the voucher sites as it’s always on sale), you leisurely sail down past the CNE and back again. Best thing about this ship is that it’s licensed and you can cruise on down Lake Ontario with a beer in hand.

You don’t get to see anything spectacular (not even the Toronto Islands), but it’s one of the most soothing sunny afternoons you can have.

Tip: Cover your ears when they fire the cannon, it’s tiny…but it packs a punch.
