Tucked away in the city center of Toronto, escape at 7 West Cafe for a cozy, quiet lunch and secret messages hidden within your table.
Set in a Victorian townhouse in between Yonge Street and Bay Street, 7 Cafe West oozes atmosphere. Imagine a wooden cafe that creaks when you walk in, stained glass windows, church pews and candle light. I’d come here when I needed an escape from work and chill with a glass of wine. While waiting for lunch one day, I happened to notice that the table had a drawer, and when I pulled it open, secret notes and messages spilled out.
Hand written quotes, drawings, messages to waitresses, love letters…all contained within my little table and pew. Who knew that I’d be sitting at a secret confessional? And yes I read them all!
This cafe is a welcome escape and happens to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Apparently big with the after bar crowd, go before the drunks invade. You will find a romantic little place serving cappuccinos, a slice of cake or a late night cocktail. And if you feel like confessing all of your sins, leave a note in the table.
